"Cork based producer Artemon is set to release his debut E.P. on August 28, 2020. ‘Anemoia’ is a five-track release marked by a palette of musical elements that aptly reflect its title. Dense, euphoric synth lines and lo-fi breakbeat / drum work are purposely arranged to invoke the kind of liminal yearning we associate with a sense of distant, hazy nostalgia. There is the presence of a unidirectional type of ambience seeking to gradually draw the listener deeper in to the vortex of what is a gracious nod to the utopian ideologies of 1990’s rave culture. A narrative that builds in its intensity throughout each song and is cultivated in an appropriately named closing track that above all other facets of sentimentality just makes us want to dance."
